A project of the
USS Constitution
Museum

The Family Learning Team at the
USS Constitution Museum

Our interdisciplinary team draws from the Curatorial, Exhibition, Education, Library, and Administrative departments. Beyond our areas of specialty, we each make daily discoveries about the nature and characteristics of family learning. For this project, we also hired a project coordinator, outside exhibit designers, a team of technicians and museum studies interns.

We invite you to contact us about any aspect of our family learning project.

The in-house family learning team members are:

Anne Grimes Rand

Anne Grimes Rand
Executive Vice President & Family Learning Project Director
Anne has been at the USS Constitution Museum for 20 years serving as Curator, Deputy Director and Acting Director. As Project Director, she assisted in all aspects of the project including the orchestration of the overall project timeline, marking each project accomplishment with her favorite expression, “Huzzah!”

Sarah Watkins

Sarah Watkins
Curator
Sarah has been at the Museum for 12 years and wears the hat of Curator. She oversees the management of the collection and research staff. Sarah supervised the research team who spent months looking for references to the sailors who served on board CONSTITUTION. Sarah's fondness for ferreting out primary source material was rewarded when a terrier named Guerriere was discovered! He is the only canine on record, to date, who “served” on the ship during the War of 1812!
